We still don’t have internet connected at the new house… relying solely on tethering, which is better than nothing. but only just. until the phone rings or something and i forget, and i unplug it, and the whole [online] world ends.
I am still a stranger to my kitchen. Every time I want to know the time I find myself looking at the fridge. At the old house, that direction of the room was where the microwave was, and it told me the time. The fridge tells me nothing. Nothing at all.
We’ve just moved house, and so now I find myself frequently “lost” standing in the kitchen, wondering where the saucepans are. It now occurs to me that this is how my husband and children must feel, ALL THE TIME.
At the moment, the sink is the only thing I can locate without a map.
